Defense may enter limited time waiver and continue trial for convicted human trafficker
At trial confirmation for convicted human trafficker David Anderson this morning, a further trial confirmation was scheduled for August 10 at the request of defense.
Mr. Michael Acosta wants to meet with Anderson to discuss a limited time waiver and a motion to continue to "prep" for the case.
Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads had no objection. Jury trial is scheduled for August 17.
Anderson is charged in Count 1 with PC 236.1 (c) 2, human sex trafficking trafficking of a minor by force or violence. Special allegation of great bodily injury during the commission of the crime and a prior conviction for human trafficking, PC 236.1 (4) (c)
Count 2 and 3 are Rape by force/violence/duress PC 261(a) (2)
Count 4 is forcible sodomy of a minor, PC 286 (c) (2)
Count 5 Forcible oral copulation of a minor, PC 288 (a) (c) (2)
