Just spoke with CHP. Sgt. Mike Campbell. No new information that can be released yet on the Fortuna hit and run investigation, which is still ongoing.
They will inform the press as soon as they are able to release any information.
I asked Sgt. Campbell who the lead agency is and it is CHP. They have not been contacted by any alleged suspect.
Who should we believe here? I find it hard to believe the attorney. Several LEO's claim they are unable to locate the suspect. Also, wouldn't the CHP want to interview the person they suspect? One of the victims has had a very nice memorial service to honor her memory, but what about the other young woman? I don't believe the newest rumors that it might be the mother's boyfriend - what mother would protect her boyfriend of such a heinous crime?
ReplyDeleteYou are free to believe whatever you wish. All I will say is that I am following the case everyday and will post verifiable information.
ReplyDeleteThanks for staying on top of this. I don't understand why a suspect isn't named. Maybe we could "be on the lookout" if we knew who it was. I cannot recall anythig like this situation.
ReplyDeleteThis whole tragedy isn't adding up. There are so many questions I have...what was the exact time the officer transported the suspect to crime scene? Did the cop and suspect know each other personally? If so that could be a reason the suspects name hasn't been released. But why not? In a case of this magnitude they should have already released names of suspect or potential suspects. Where are the other parents to the girls? Why haven't they spoke out, demanded justice? I know if I was them nothing and nobody could keep me quiet about wanting my child's killer to be in custody. Also if it was drunk driving wouldn't the officer that took suspect to scene of crime know if she was intoxicated? So what's really going on? It seems like one huge horrific cover up but for what? And the chp has no idea where the suspect is? Why did the lawyer lie about telling chp where the residence is to locate vehicle? I really hope this gets solved fast. Being so long and drawn out with no new information or no answers at all must be agony for the families. Those poor girls deserve justice.
