At approximately 10:00 PM on March 7th, 2016 the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office began to receive reports of shattered windows at homes and businesses in the Laytonville area.
That night and into the next morning Deputies attempted to locate the perpetrator(s) as they traveled on foot between locations, shattering windows by throwing large rocks through them.
The Laytonville Elementary School, Wheels Café, Tie Dye 2, Mendo Sun Market and Post Office were among the buildings vandalized. Multiple unattended automobile windshields were also vandalized.
