A few minutes ago , this entire CNN article listed Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's attorney as Lisa Banks. No mention of Deborah Katz.
When I checked it at 6:08 p.m. they changed half to it Deborah Katz but some of the article still lists Banks. Still the same at 6:14 p.m. At 6:17 p.m. the article was updated and the update fixes the "error" and two attorney's names now makes sense.
Lisa Banks is the founding partner of the law firm representing Dr. Ford but it has been Deborah Katz and Michael Bromvich that have been in the spotlight and speaking to the media.
Why change the name to Deborah Katz after the article has been up for several minutes if it was not an error? Small detail but indicative of sloppy journalism by a "major network."
You know small details matter. Like the small detail when Dr. Ford testified that she wasnt aware of the Senate Judiciary Committee's offer to fly to California and then her lawyers spin on that detail in this article.
More indication that Dr. Ford was trying to do the right thing and that she was used by the Democrats. It has been Dr. Ford's allies and the Democrats that has used Dr. Ford's genuine pain and that of sexual assault survivors for their political circus. Who leaked the letter?
If Democrats, especially those from California, care about sexual assault, then they should repeal Prop 47, 57 and all the other California laws that embolden criminals signed and supported by California Governor Jerry Brown, a Democrat.
The Democrats could have used the time they have wasted on national TV in the last few days to introduce legislation that encourages more survivors to get justice. They did not.
