Break in at Ramone's on Harrison Avenue, suspect on video, undisclosed amount of cash taken

On Sunday, May 1, 2016, at about 1:30 a.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received a report of burglary that had just occurred at Ramones Bakery on Harrison Ave, in Eureka. Deputies responded and spoke with the victim and owner. The victim provided the deputies with a video surveillance of the incident.

Deputies reviewed the video surveillance and observed a male subject in a dark hoodie putting gloves on and then unscrewing the light bulbs on the patio area. The suspect then broke the window on the patio door, reached in and opened the door from the inside. The suspect entered the business with a small dark colored dog and walked directly to the electrical panel and turned off all of the electricity to the business, including the surveillance system. A floor safe was taken out of an office with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled in a smaller orange SUV type vehicle.
