"Pardon me", news for you Marcellis, you don't own the courtroom

(Kody Marcelli)

Mike Marcelli and Kody Marcelli are a typical example of the arrogant families in Humboldt used to getting their way. Families used to shoving what is inconvenient under the rug.

In Humboldt, most people  like making fun of others online  but dont like it when they are in the spotlight.  That is why some people get upset when I report on them or call them out. Tough.

News is not double standards. News is not covering someone with money and connections differently.

Based on the behavior I have seen in the last two court appearances and Kody Marcelli's facebook page; he thinks he is all that and daddy's behavior in court shows why Kody Marcelli thinks he is so "entitled."

Mike Marcelli, Kody Marcelli (and whoever the woman was with them) talked constantly last time in court while they were there for arraignment. They were quieter last time and more restrained.

I dont know if it was Kody or Mike Marcelli today but one of them said,"Pardon me", expecting me to move from where I was sitting in court after break.

News for you Marcellis, you don't own the  courtroom. Seats are not reserved. The courtroom had plenty of other seats.

They also glared at the alleged victim Gary Harner.

Mike Marcelli talked throughout the entire court proceedings today while the woman with him tried to calm Mike Marcelli down. They were sitting right behind me.

You may own a business Mike Marcelli, your family might be "well known" in Humboldt but you have no class or respect for others. That attitude has been passed down to your son.

Here is a link so you can see what a "badass" Kody Marcelli thinks he is and it is just one "gem" from his Facebook page.

In a small town, other media has shown that they are selective on who they cover and what they cover. News is news, you don't give someone with money a pass. You don't cover news only when it is convenient.

Randall Miles Cook, the Marcellis are just two examples. No one else covered the Kailan Meserve case until the very end and just the sentencing. Even that coverage was after I told them about the sentencing and they saw the case had interest. Certain media completely ignored that case. No one reported on Rick Littlefield's DUIs.

In the Marci Kitchen case and several other instances, exposing what is going on, taking on local people with money, with connections and power is not easy.

It is very hard to financially support independent reporting and put the truth out in any small town; Humboldt's isolation makes it worse.
