Crime Watch Daily interested in covering Kitchen case; this email made my day

This email from the producer of Crime Watch Daily made my day.

"I’m a producer with the show CRIME WATCH DAILY with Chris Hansen.   Crime Watch Daily with Chris Hansen is America's only daily crime program, featuring in-depth investigations, real-life mysteries, and the stories behind the crimes.

The reason for this email is because we are interested in featuring Kiya Kitchen and Faith Tsarnas’ story on our show.  Would you be open to interviewing on our show as one of the reporters covering this story?"

I already put them in contact with attorneys for both sides and will be helping them with any other research, contacts and interviews.

Crime Watch Daily has been following this case since Marci Kitchen's arraignment.

    1. Can you keep us updated on when it will be airing please? I hope it will shame our local justice system. Let the whole world see what is happening.

    2. Yes, I will. The families have to agree to be interviewed first. This is their chance to tell Faith and Kiya's story so I hope so.

  2. Some this doesn't surprise me. This sort of recognition is well-earned and deserved. I hope this sort of coverage helps put the court system and lawyers on notice that being a small town/county doesn't mean what goes on will always be ignored.
I'll have to start following that program. Congratulations.

    1. Thanks Gabriele. What I appreciate is the professionalism and respect from this show. There are others, who use my material, even some who I helped from the Bay area on other cases like the Meserve case, who took all the glory but never gave acknowledgement.

    2. In this case, it is not an issue of using my material. They have been following this case, they will be doing their own story and I will assist in whatever way with contacts and resources so the content will be all theirs
I just appreciate that their research was comprehensive and picked up on my court coverage. I know I have a regional and national outreach, it's nice to have that validated.

  4. I would lead them right to the probation department. As we see with this case as well as many others including Robert Bergeson's (where he killed a pedestrian in a crosswalk in broad daylight) who got 4-years probation with one year of it to be spent in county jail (6-months actual) they are already talking probation for Ms. Kitchen as it is her first offense at killing someone(s) as a DUI. This is up to the discretion of the courts...probating a crime where someone's life has been taken from them is wrong. Imposition of the sentences allowed, which are unfortunately too lenient in California, should be the battle cry.
