Plea deal, dismissal of certain counts, Boudreaux being released or discussion about rescheduling with convicted molestor Boudreaux being difficult?

Convicted molestor Steve Boudreaux's retrial for Counts 1 to 5 and setting for sentencing was continued twice since 1/22/24 because Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm is ill. I added those updates to the previous post. Deputy DA Carolyn Schaffer has appeared on the case for Ms. Timm this week.

Ms. Timm is still out of the office today on 1/24. Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo has been in and out of Courtroom 5 three times since 9:15 which has not been opened yet. He briefly spoke with Ms. Schaffer. At 9:45, Mr. Russo walked out of Courtroom 5 again.At 9:48 both attorneys walked in to the courtroom which is still closed.

1:40: Once again, attorneys go in while Victim Witness, other interested parties and I wait outside the courtroom. Per Deputy DA Schaffer, case continued until 1/27 for motions in limine, assuming Ms. Timm is back.

These are today's court minutes which were posted later. I have no idea why the courtroom had to be closed for discussion about scheduling or the reason for continuance. These issues are discussed in open courtrooms including a jury trial all the time.
