"I do want a program but how do I get a deal without admitting to all this stuff?"
Busy afternoon in Courtroom 1 and all of a sudden, there is commotion and a loud voice interrupting court proceedings. This is near the door where inmates come into the courtroom.
"Be quiet," said the bailiff.
"I am ready to go now!," says a female voice. In bounces Adrianne Murphy.
When her case was called, first she snapped at Judge Canning about her name, "It's Adrianne!"
She wouldn't listen to Deputy Conflict Counsel April Van Dyke. A simple arraignment dragged on with her arguing loudly. There was a resolution but Murphy had her own idea on how court should work.
"I do want a program but how do I get a deal without admitting to all this stuff?" Then she went back and forth about what charges she thought were true.
Judge Timothy Canning told Ms. Van Dyke,"we do need to move on." Miffed that she couldn't hold court hostage any longer, Murphy said, "Is he actually a Judge? A proper Judge." She lectured Judge Canning about a Commissioner and Judge.
Finally, her arraignment was continued. "Tomorrow? at 1:29 p.m.?" She finally calmed down when she saw Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell. " Hi Meagan, come see me." Then, exit stage left.
