The County of Humboldt will be installing upgrades to its phone system in the county courthouse on Wednesday, May 4th. Phone lines in the building will be unable to make or receive calls beginning at 6 a.m. The work is expected to be completed by 8 a.m., at which time phones should be fully operational.
The county is upgrading to the new phone system because the current software revision is seven years old and is no longer supported. This change will allow the county to keep current with technology. In addition, it will allow staff to more easily connect with other sites like the Probation Department, Public Works, Agriculture and Correctional Facility because they will all be operating on the same system.
