Alias Hensel arrested for sending harmful material to seduce a minor and possession of child porn depicting sadomasochistic material

 

38 year old Alias Coyote Hensel was arrested by HCSO on a Ramey warrant yesterday for PC 288.2(a)(1) sending harmful material to seduce a minor, PC 311.11(c)(2) possession of child porn depicting sadomasochistic material and PC 311.11(c)(1) possession of child pornography if there are more than 600 images and/or includes 10 or more images depicting a prepubescent minor or a minor under 12 years old. Hensel was booked on a no bail status.

Hensel was arrested in 2020 case by HCSO. He was charged by the DA with two misdemeanors; assault and battery and failed to appear at arraignment. A month later, former Humboldt County District Attorney Maggie Fleming filed a motion for dismissal of the case and recall of warrant issued "as the Deputy Sheriff needed to prove" Hensel's and several cases "is no longer available to testify."

11/21/25: DA filed a complaint today charging Hensel with 8 felonies. He was arraigned today and Conflict Counsel's office was appointed by Retired Judge Christopher Wilson. Bail was set by Judge Wilson at $260,000. OR bail is scheduled on 11/25; preliminary hearing on 12/5/25.

11/25/25: OR & supervised released denied by Humboldt Superior Court Judge Kelly Neel.

12/5/25: Preliminary hearing continued by defense to 1/13/26.

1/13/26: Preliminary hearing continued by defense to 2/6/26 for setting of preliminary hearing/change of plea; possible resolution; Hensel to undergo PC 288.1 evaluation.
