(Lila Ortega)
In August, I reported on Lila Ortega being booked on a bench warrant in a 2024 case for organized retail theft and petty theft. Blue Ox is the business listed in the complaint.
On 11/13, Ortega's case was on for trial setting and defense motion for PC 1001.95 diversion. Humboldt Deputy District Attorney Andy Truitt appeared on the case for the People. Deputy Conflict Counsel David Nims is Ortega's attorney. Retired Judge John Feeney denied the defense motion. Trial setting was continued to 1/5/26.
This previous post on her arraignment has links to other prior coverage on Ortega.
