The Tuluwat and their guest leagle eagle might want to read my response. Do not try and intimidate me by putting incorrect or private personal information about me online which has nothing to do with my blog. What you have insinuated in your recent post about me is what a low- life coward does and it has certainly got me support and increased web views today, so your petty little attempt backfired.
I have also consulted attorneys and any further efforts to intimidate me further could result in a SLAAP motion or other legal action. I will not hesitate to go after the identity of the cowardly Tuluwat or the guest poster.
There were some very revealing details about comments made by the guest poster. When it comes to credibility, an anonymous blog and an anonymous poster can say anything.
No attorney pays for the coverage of their cases in any way shape or form. I have covered cases that interest me and the public. I have covered cases that are not featured attorneys on my blog and I have covered cases about my featured attorneys that are not favorable.
Looks like some people will sink to any depths when the truth is exposed.

If I were TE I’d take this down now, rewrite it leaving out the personal.

Thanks eyerollah, Tuluwat has sunk to the low that they really are and shown themselves to be a rag. This guest post is most likely from a disgruntled defense attorney (S) and I have a pretty good idea where they got my personal information from which is from more than one source.
Tuluwat rarely prints any opinion with a name, the only one I recall is Janelle Egger. There are defense attorneys who do not want scrutiny so they can make their plea deals and release "alleged" criminals and child molestors back into the community. Or third rate lawyers that cannot win in court.
There have been many rumblings from the defense into intimidataing me into silence because my opinion is not financially beneficial to them. I also think that this post right after I went after Peter Martin and Richard Salzman is interesting timing. We know the Tuluwat loves Dickie. A back handed way to attack me. Very brave.
This happened during the Bodhi Tree trial as well. I was right.
I provide a public service with my own earnings. These attorneys or whoever wrote this are not journalists. What they are afraid is that people trust me, believe me.
Nor does this post which is clearly written by a defense attorney or a friend of a defense attorney know what I verified or what I did not. There is no jury tainting because juriies are clearly instructed not to read media accounts of cases.
And a post about checking sources should check their own facts. Not that it is anyone's business but I do not collect SSI.
I think this post is written by someone losing a jury trial, upset that information that might be helpful to the DA cannot be used and a public threat.
If the Tuluwat does not immediately remove this post hinting at incorrect and otherwise personal information which a stranger would have no access to which means someone went to great lengths to silence me and make unveiled threats, I am currently contacting my attorney. Maybe a SLAPP lawsuit and any other legal action where I will go after the identity of who is behind Tuluwat and who this guest poster is will teach cowards about intimidation, personal attacks and freedom of the press.

ReplyDeleteI wish you had thought this through before you responded to the TE. Threats don't help and sometimes just makes the situation in question worse. But it's your call.
Yes, the TE can get a little maddening. They have heard me say several times that sort of writing does their cause no good, but they persist.
I think the TE was wrong to run the letter as it read. I think they should have insisted on editing or they would not run it. But I'm not the TE.
The Blogosphere is a really nasty place. I sometimes shudder to think this is where information sharing of the future is going. But there it is and you are a part of it as well as the TE.
Ignore the bullies and rejoice that you and Winston Churchill are on the same page. If you have enemies then it means you doing something meaningful.
I for one will continue to read your blog (but also, I will continue to read the TE, so I guess that idea is a wash after all).

MOLA, the Tuluwat had no business running personal information about me, especially information that is not accurate. They have defamed me by suggesting I do not earn a living, that my court coverage is paid for by certain attorneys. Those are facts I can prove. Their anonymous poster made a threat to me and the DA's office without any knowledge of the facts. They have also disparaged the reputation of attorneys on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI will not be intimidated and this was a personal attack and motivated by a personal agenda, they could have run the piece without the personal information. Eyerollah's comment was hit the nail on the head.
They have done me a favor because I have received a lot of support.
They are not maddening, they are cowards. The person (s) that went to them, knew they would print an anonymous attack.
I wanted to correct some facts and I think I made my point.
All I can say is today I am not a fan of the TE. That, for that matter, is true on quite a few days.
DeleteBut I think your best bet would have been to calmly correct the record and advise the TE it really should take a closer look at who is giving them this stuff to print.
No threats. No invective. Just leave them hanging for the goons they chose to be today.

It is indeed very good advice MOLA, however the Tuluwat has a history of publishing whatever and anonymously and in this case they chose to print a personal attack on me by an anonymous person who can conveniently say whatever they want about me.
DeleteThey are under the assumption that they get to hold others accountable yet hide behind anonymity, and think they will not be held accountable, they had the option of not running the personal stuff, not running the post or taken it down. Their actions speak for themselves.
I must get back to transcribing 8 hours of testimony and it is good to have you commenting on this blog again.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you 100%, that TE hides behind a cloak of anonymity, contrary to it's claim of being in the "Spirit of Bret Harte"; Harte was never known to hide his identity when giving fact or opinion.
Keep up the good information from the courthouse. You reveal more information than all other outlets, combined.

ReplyDeleteThe TE post was written by an anonymous person with unsubstantiated claims and allegations about me and the post was this person's very personal opinion of me. These were printed by an anonymous blog and they did not check their guest poster's facts.
When I said I may pursue legal action and pointed out certain facts to contradict the false claims made by the guest poster, and the TE got backlash from certain regular commenters, in less than 24 hours, the personal allegations were gone. Then the comments disappeared within hours.
Some of the negative comments from the anon commenters on TE are on personal and political differences. Legitimate criticism is fine. The courthouse post and most certain blog comments about me are just an excuse to vent. People have a right to do that, freedom of speech. I have that same right.
Some of the personal comments that were removed bring back certain conversations with certain people.
I want to thank certain commenters on the TE thread and the people who personally emailed me or have expressed support here. I would also like to thank the TE and the guest poster for sending some new people to my blog.
The question that begs to be asked is, what is the motivation behind this guest court watcher? And TE running that post.
The justice system or trying to silence me because certain courthouse truths come to light. To the guest poster, can I use the phrase "wrath of Chiv" or would you like credit? That would be hard though, since you are anonymous
