Pimping and pandering suspects Sunshine Massage owner Rongqiu Li and alleged cohort and co-defendant Xiao Wang's cases were on for setting of preliminary hearing on 2/21. Yet another hearing was continued for the nth time to 4/25 for the same reason with the only difference being instead of possible resolution; it is listed as setting of prelim/change of plea.
I have been the only one reporting regularly on their court cases since their arrest.
4/25: Offers conveyed and rejected; resolution reached for Li; no resolution for Wang; resolution is not a package deal. Confirmation of prelim and interpreters on 7/17; preliminary hearing on 7/19 with a 4 hour time estimate.
7/17/25: Confirmation of preliminary hearing and interpreters continued by stipulation to 9/9; Four Mandarin interpreters needed if preliminary hearing proceeds. 7/29 date vacated. Preliminary hearing scheduled for 9/22.
9/22/25: this date vacated. Pre trial/conf of interpreters on 10/3. Preliminary hearing 10/6.
10/1/25: DA motion to continue granted. DA Investigator Brawner unavailable. 10/3 &10/6 dates vacated. Li "close to resolution", Wang "in discussion." Setting on 12/10.
