The Operating Engineers interviewed all candidates for Harbor District Commissioner and
have chosen to endorse Nick Angeloff for the Second Division Commissioner. A panel of members
interviewed Mr. Angeloff and were impressed with his goals and mission to create economic diversity on the bay through a stable economic base of shipping. His outreach to central valley agricultural producers, brokers, and cooperatives holds promise to get our harbor working again. His mission to pre- permit local docks will allow local owners to rehabilitate their facilities which will mean more jobs for operating engineers throughout the county. A more active port means a stronger economy which translates into more jobs and most importantly more high paying, benefitted union jobs in Humboldt County. These are the reasons the Operating Engineers Local No. 3 AFL-CIO have endorsed Nick Angeloff for Harbor Commission. Vote for Nick Angeloff November 3rd to get our harbor working again.
