Fatima Naylor, President of Families Advocating Autism Now (FAAN) accepts a grant from Craig Vizenor, UPS employee and FAAN father. To be considered for funding by UPS, Vizenor had to log his UPS volunteer hours in the Neighbor-to-Neighbor tracking system. Any hours logged are open for funding opportunities by UPS' local office.
To UPS, giving means more than writing a check. It means combining employees' skill, passion and time with their logistics expertise, transportation assets and charitable donations to make a measurable difference in society. In 2014, UPS invested nearly 1.9 million volunteer hours and more than $100 million dollars into their global communities.
FAAN is blessed to have UPS by their side on a local level. FAAN will continue to improve opportunities for growth and development of individuals diagnosed with autism, and provide support and guidance to the education system for special needs of children on the autism spectrum while advocating for individuals with autism in Humboldt County.
