HDVS to have rally at Courthouse same time as rally for Medical Marijuana Act

Humboldt Domestic Violence Services got a proclamation from the Board of Supervisors this morning for October being Domestiv Violence awareness month. HDVS Board member Richard Marks was present at the BOS session.

HDVS is having a rally at the same time the rally is taking place where Assemblymember Jim Wood will lead a rally to urge Governor Brown to sign AB 243 and AB 266 (Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act), a package that would regulate the medical cannabis industry in California. Joining Assemblymember Wood will be Assemblymembers Rob Bonta and Tom Lackey, fellow authors of AB 266.

District Attorney Maggie Fleming and Assemblyman Jim wood were among the many people that stopped by and checked out the silhouettes that represented victims that died due to domestic violence.
