Motion to dismiss information against man charged with grand theft embezzlement filed by Public Defender

The jury trial for Michael Noriega, the man charged with grand theft embezzlement scheduled for October 19 has been vacated.

I spoke with Mr. Casey Russo who has been appointed to represent Noriega. He said the motion to dismiss onlybapplies to Count 1 for the embezzlement charge. Count 2 is the possession of heroin charge.

Noriega was held to answer on all charges after the preliminary hearing.

A hearing for disposition and reset is,set for October 27. The Public Defender has filed a motion to dismiss information which will be heard on that date.
