Cass Bell arrested by EPD for asault likely to produce great bodily injury

Cassion Jehial Bell was arrested by Eureka Police Department yesterday for PC 245(a)(4) assault likely to produce great bodily injury. He posted bond.

Received this tip from a reader a few minutes ago who wishes to remain anonymous.

"Hi John,

I noticed on the booking log for November 3rd that local celebrity and MMA fighter Cass Bell was arrested for assault. I was curious if you would be reporting on this. He is also the head wrestling coach for Arcata High School."

I reached out to EPD PIO Laura Montagna, she said, "He actually had a warrant and turned himself in at the PD."

EPD is issuing a press release tomorrow which will be added to this post.

I told the reader I would have to verify if this is the same Cass Bell. A google search came up with verification and I have included only one screenshot.

I reported on Bell in 2019 but after my reporting in 2021, it competely changed my previous positive relationship with Ryan Sundberg. Chalk it up to the nth consequence of independent reporting which benefits the community daily.

I have included Bell's Humboldt Superior Court cases and screenshots of the outcome of some cases.
