Attempted murder suspect Elijah Stonebear Williams pleads guilty to assault with a firearm and special allegations for that count


A change of plea was scheduled for attempted Elijah Stonebear Williams on June 6. It was continued to this morning.



Guilty plea to Count 3 and special allegations. Plea is 10 years in prison. Counts  1 and 2 dismissed.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 25. Defense asked for a Cruz waiver. DA objected. Judge Reinholtsen denied the request for Cruz waiver.




For each hearing so far, a different Deputy District Attorney has appeared in court on behalf of the People. Deputy District Attorney Brent Kling was in court today for the plea and st the last hearing.

Deputy Public Defender Brie Bennett is representing Williams.
