Officer Louis Altic, who I have known personally since I moved here is currently the Old Town Patrol Officer.
Captain Steve Watson said his last day with EPD is next Wednesday. He will be joining the Humboldt State Police Department.
Eureka Main Street Director Charlotte McDonald spoke with me and sent this response via email, "I am happy for Louis Altic, because this is where he wants to go. He will be missed in our District. We all enjoyed working with him while he was with EPD, and pleased he was able to finish his career as our Beat Officer."
Louis, you will be missed in Eureka. You are the kind of officer and man I would be proud to be.
He gets to transfer at the beginning of autumn.
