A motion was made by Supervisor Ryan Sundberg to direct County Counsel to come back with ordinances in regards to medical marijuana in compliance with state law effective no later than March 1, 2016. The second to the motion was by Supervisor Mark Lovelace.
It passed unanimously.
This just happened at the morning session of the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors.
County Counsel Jeffrey S. Blanck said after ordinance adoption, excise tax will be second step.
Cannabis Voice Humboldt was represented by Terra Carver, Luke Bruner, Outreach Coordinator Andy and there were about 20 other community members in the audience including former City Eureka Councilmember Larry Glass.
