Jason Arreaga pleads out and is sentenced for second case involving drugs in jail

Jason Arreaga who was acquitted February 23 after his second jury trial for the deaths of Harley Hammers and Angel Tully, had an intervention hearing scheduled for February 29 and a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 7.

This was for a case from 2015 is for Count 1 alleged possession of drugs, marijuana, in jail and Count 2 bringing drugs/alcohol into Penal institution.

At the intervention hearing yesterday, Arreaga plead out and was sentenced.

Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees provided the details if the plea.

Jason Arreaga pled guilty to violating one count of Penal Code section 4573.5 for a stipulated term of 16 months. He received credits for his time served and was ordered released from custody. I have been informed that he was in released last night.
