Zachary Harrison charged with murder and personally and intentionally discharging a firearm causing great bodily injury


A felony homicide complaint was filed for Zachary Harrison today.  He is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m.

Count 1: Murder [PC187(a) with a special allegation  F/Arm:Gbi:Com/F [PC12022.53(d) or "personally and intentionally discharges a firearm and proximately causes great bodily"

Bail increased to two million. Deputy District Attorney Joel Buckingham is prosecuting the case.

Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin was present in court today for arraignment with Harrison. He requested arraignment be continued until Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.

Life cases are assigned on a rotation, Mr. McLaughlin told me.  "I wanted to make sure the assigned attorney made the decision regarding time waivers and future dates."

Update: June 12 Deputy District Attorney Luke Brownfield appeared with Harrison. Arraignment completed. Intervention is on July 10. Preliminary on July 17.
