Yesterday, James Cunha and Rebecca Hamline were arraigned in court on new charges, Count 1 Receiving Stolen Property and Count 2 for Identity theft. They were better behaved except for Cunha's flippant attitude when he saw the new complaint. He looked over at his love, Hamline nodding with a look like "no big deal."
Sure, what's one more charge when you have served time in prison and have several cases pending. Alleged victims, safety of the community, it's "no big deal" to Cunha who shaved his trademark mustache for a cleaner look.
Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees was present for the People. Mr. Kaleb Cockrum, from the Conflict Counsel's office represents Hamline and Ms. Jennifer Dixon from the Alternate Conflict Counsel was present for Cunha.
Hamline waived time, Cunha did not. Bail was set at $30,000 for each in the new case. August 19 is an intervention hearing for all their pending cases. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 27.
