"From what I know and I cannot discuss at the moment but the two incidents do not appear to be linked"

Just spoke with  Humboldt County Supervisor for the Second District and Board Chair Estelle Fennell. She said while she had also heard that the man arrested in the Sohum incident was taken to Sempervirens, "that is unconfirmed."

This situation started last night and the "CAL Fire station had to shelter in place for 5 hours. They contacted the Sheriff  in Eureka, then called the local CHP who responded and apprehended the suspect."

"I am very grateful that this did not turn out to be a bomb," said Supervisor Fennell. "It was very concerning for me due to the safety of the firefighters who we rely on greatly and also for the safety of the neighborhood."

I also asked Supervisor Estelle Fennell about the Crescent City incident , "From what I know and I cannot discuss that at the moment but the two incidents do not appear to be linked."
