Help EPD find this guy

The Eureka Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect. On 5-2-2014 at about 12:33 p.m., officers were dispatched to a robbery that had just occurred at the 100 block of 2nd Street in Eureka.

Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim who advised that he was walking through old town and gave money to two homeless individuals. As he walked away, the suspect approached the victim and stated, “Hey, I saw you give my home boys some money.” The suspect then demanded the victim’s possessions or he would assault him. The victim refused and tried to run away. The suspect grabbed the victim and threw him to the ground. The victim tried to defend himself, but was overcome by the suspect. The suspect took the victim’s wallet and ran east on 2nd Street.  The victim received minor injuries but denied medical attention.

The area was checked by responding officers, but the suspect was not located. The suspect was described as a white male adult, 30 to 40 years old, 5’8”, with a medium build. The suspect’s hair was brown in color and he had goatee style facial hair. The suspect was wearing a black flat brimmed “Metal Militia” baseball cap and a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt.
