Several community members have called recently to ask me to check and see the status of Timothy Littlefield, the Mckinleyville man convicted of 11 molestation charges last year and eight life sentences without parole.
Judge Dale Reinholtsen sentenced Littlefield last year. District Attorney Paul Gallegos prosecuted and Russ Clanton represented the defendant.
It has been rumored the case is being retried. Possibly due to jury misconduct. And that Littlefield is out of custody.
I will have comment from Mr. Gallegos and Mr. Clanton when and if I can get some answers. I will look into it myself and have updates between now and Monday.
