The judge is allowing us to take notes but no photos or audio on electronic devices. Media present Ryan Burns from LOCO and Lashay Wesley from Channel 3.
Bodhi Tree was not in orange today but a pinstripe shirt and slacks seated next to Ms. Holmquist. She whispered to him as he sat down, "You look nice." He was quiet and had the same nonchalant demeanor he has had since I started covering this case.
Jury selection is expected to take at least 2 weeks.
There was some discussion about the jury questionnaire and potential jurors being questioned by counsel. The People filed Motions in Limine this morning and they are expected to be discussed on Wednesday. Jury selection is expected to start this Wednesday and will continue until Friday.
There were 18 motions filed by the Defense. Counsel were in agreement or able to agree on 14 of those motions. 4 will be discussed further. I am not going to report details because of jury selection.
While I plan to cover the jury selection process, unless there are developments in this case, the first report will be when opening statements start.
