One half of Eureka's most wanted couple Lance Borgner arraigned on new complaint today and frequent jail visitor Shiloh Chase had a no bail hold in 1 of 4 cases he was arraigned for today.
Borgner and Shiloh cuffed together in court were busy chattin and hangin before court like they were out on the town. Shiloh even found time to do a little flirtin with the female prisoner like Joey from Friends. His how you doin disarmed the lady prisoner in blue.
For a moment there I thought I was at a speed dating event instead of court. Seeing Borgner and his young age, you could almost forget for a moment that he went on a crime spree and will this change his life around or will he be someone the court system will see frequently.
Roger Rees was there for the People in Courtroom 1 today, Kaleb Cockrum from Conflict Counsel represented Borgner. Meagan O'Connell from Public Defender's office represented Shiloh Chase.
Judge Feeney greeted Borgner, asked him how he was. Borgner responded, "Been better, but I am allright."
Today, the District Attorney filed a new complaint, Vehicle Code Section 2800.1 Evading a Peace Officer.
A plea of not guilty was entered by Borgner. 10 day time was waived, 60 days time waiver for
preliminary hearing was not waived. Bail was set for $50,000 for this new case.
Next court date March 17 at 2 p.m. Preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 2 at 8:30 a.m.
Chase had 2 petitions to revoke probation filed by the District Attorney's office, a felony
complaint with 1 count of vehicle theft and another count of possession of a controlled substance, meth.
another petition to revoke probation and a post release supervisor report which was received by Chase's
attorney; 4 cases were addressed today.
Chase entered all not guilty please. O'Connell told the court that "we will be entering denials on petitions
to revoke probation." Chase did not waive time in the felony case.
In 1 case, a bail of $30,000 was set. And a no bail hold in another. Intervention was set for the felony case
on March 10 at 3 p.m. and Preliminary hearing March 17 at 8:30 a.m.
