Hey - found a way to use my WordPress ID to comment on Google. Hooray!
ReplyDeleteJohn, darn you are prolific. This was the first article since 8/16 AM that interested me though so I'm commenting here. We have divergent areas of concern apparently.
But sometimes the overlap, when they do, we are most often at loggerheads, even though by our rhetoric it seems we are often wanting the same thing - a healthy, interesting, and prosperous future for HumCo.
I've been wanting to ask if you want to be my guest at any HCDCC meetings. If you do, you are welcome as my guest. I don't how other members will react, but if you can't go I won't go and then someone else will have to make the Treasurer's Report.
The reason why I'm doing this is selfish. I believe you are wrong on the HCDCC. I believe if you attended meetings, although we'd probably still disagree, our differences would become more concrete.
I'd like you to see the other side of a liberal. We are not the intolerant monsters you paint us to be. We are people with opinions struggling to have an influence in our political system.
The door will always be open if you are ever interested, let me know.
Jon, great to see you found a way to comment. I would be glad to accept your invitation.
DeleteDo you want to check with the members first? I may not make every meeting but it would be nice to attend and see the process. In the past, I was registered as independent when I was asked not to attend.
I have no problems abiding by the organization's by laws. So let me know if they are open to the idea.
I am glad you see we both want a prosperous Humboldt. Jon, I never say all liberals, all to describe any group but most because each group has it's exceptions. Jon, you might find all Republicans are not the same either.
