What the GOP elite knows and chooses to ignore; same with the Democrats

Mitt Romney has tried and lost how many times?

Romney, the Bushes, these are the establishment GOP elite that have no clue how their base feels.

Same can be said of the Democratic party. Bernie Sanders may be defeated by the Democratic machine but the same op Ed could be written about him.

I do not agree with Bernie's economic and political views but he represents the democratic base today more than Hillary.

Trump's over the top comments are being represented by the media  to make him appear racist and sexist.

The media sold out a long time ago. Voters of both parties should switch to being independent, no paty, decline to state if their choice is ursurped by the establishment elite.

Excerpt 1:
The Republican Party is being dramatically transformed,” said Foster Friess, a Wyoming investor and philanthropist who is among the party’s most significant donors. Republicans and Democrats alike, Mr. Friess said, had neglected “the people who truly make our country work — the truck drivers, farmers, welders, hospitality workers.”

Excerpt 2:

“They have to come to terms with what they created,” said Laura Ingraham, a conservative activist and talk-radio host. “They’ll talk about everything except the fact that their policies are unpopular.”

  1. I agree with changing your political registration to "decline to state." I was getting too much political junk mail in my mailbox, email, and phone calls. It is easy to do on-line. I don't get to vote for a candidate in the primaries but I don't care.
