For Supervisor Virginia Bass, like many mothers, Veteran's Day has personal significance.
I just spoke with Supervisor Bass about the installation of the military banners tomorrow at the Eureka Boardwalk.
"I'm very thankful to the Masonic Lodge the various recruiters and the Maples family for making this happen. I understand that this is only the beginning and soon we will have many more local faces on the banners reminding us how fortunate we are to live in a community with so many young people in the Armed Forces.
As a mother of a Marine who has been deployed three times overseas and wounded in action I am grateful that this community truly appreciates the sacrifices made by these young men and women every day."
