Limmie Curry trial to procced March 9; not allowed to see father due to getting in trouble and being disciplined

Limmie Curry charged with the murder of Wiiliam Reid and this is his second jury trial.

No other media was around yesterday whilr Judge Feeney met with the attorneys. No media was present during trial assignment this morning. There were private discussions before the case was called between DDA Kelly Neel and Curry's attorney Mr. Casey Russo as well as Mr. Russo and Limmie Curry's father.

I wondered why Limmie Curry was not in the courtroom. I also wondered why 3 bailiffs were in the courtroom for trial assignment. His father did not look happy during the break. Mr. Russo met with Curry in his holding cell while morning negotiations were going on.

When the case was called on record, Judge Feeney said the People and the Defense had not arrived on a resolution and the case would go to jury trial, as scheduled, on March 9. Mr. Russo asked if Curry's father could meet with him. Judge Feeney said that was upto the Sheriff. Sgt. Fridley said that  Curry had "got into trouble yesterday and was being dsciplined." That discipline will be addressed or over on March 10 and until then no visitors are allowed until that date.

The jury trial will take place in Courtroom 4 with Judge Timothy Cissna being the trial judge. Trial estimate including jury selection is expected to take six to seven weeks. Mr. Russo said that most of next week will be the Judge and attorneys meeting for motions in limine. The attorneys are meeting with Judge Cissna this afternoon.
