HCDCC, Richard Salzman and Ron Kuhnel did not even want or allow the only Democrat in the 2nd District Harbor Commissioner Race to discuss his candidacy last night

At HCDCC meeting last night regarding endorsement for Nick Angeloff (D) vs. Greg Dale (R) in the 2nd District Harbor race, Nick Angeloff, the only Democrat running in this 2nd District Harbor Commission race didn't even get a second from the floor to get his candidacy endorsed.

So much for the HCDCC supporting Democratic candidates.

One source said he was not allowed to speak but that clarified that comment later as well. However Richard Marks just contacted me and clarified that Angeloff was allowed to speak, however  it was the motion that Pam Service put on the floor to endorse him that was not seconded.

Richard Marks did confirm that he is supporting Pat Higgins. I did a post a while back raising this question. "Pat has done a good job as a fellow commissioner and he is a personal friend."

Ron Kuhnel sent out an email:

I believe this candidate's statement is vague and does not represent in any way what he has publicly stated his platform to be including support for the fully discredited east-west railroad boondoggle.

I have another engagement and cannot attend but I would be strongly opposed to any endorsement.

  1. Where do you stand on the "fully discredited east-west railroad boondoggle" John? (gotta admit, that's a pretty funny statement) I don't believe I've seen anything from you on this particular topic.

    Thanks

    1. Kendall, next time I need a verifiable email address to publish a comment. So we can know what your interest and affiliations are.

That statement is funny and not made by me. I am not running for public office but for the record, I support a study and I support the idea of the East-West railroad being explored.
