Although I took extensive notes, we have great coverage from local media with Ryan Burns, Kimberly Wear and Channel 3's Robyn Ridpath and my blog posts wont be detailed, usually. Since parishioners do check my blog, I want them to have one place they can check the basics without graphic details that are upsetting.
The preliminary hearing so far has only flushed out details already available in past media reports.
Bullock's attorney is Kaleb Cockrum. I was on the jury for another high profile local case and Bullock is extremely fortunate to have Kaleb represent him on this case.
I am very impressed with Elan Firpo and very glad she is the prosecutor on this case.

I have read some reports... avoided others. Some I've skimmed and then stopped when I knew I didn't want to know more.
Today, I tried to avoid news of the hearings second day all together. Unfortunately, one local media outlet made a headline out of precisely the kind of detail I wanted to avoid so it didn't matter whether I read the article or not.
ugh.
So... an extra special thank you for your efforts to be sensitive to those of us who knew him.

You are welcome. It is not easy and I do cope privately and talk to friends. For me knowing what happened and the timeline helps. I am still in shock and pain.
ReplyDeleteI know he is in a better place, it is the before, the violation of someone I cared for and respected deeply and our home that was violated that is hard.
I do stay strong, the best I can because of faith, because of what Fr. Eric taught us and because of good friends.
