APD Detective Todd Dokweiler, the lead investigator for the Arcata homicide investigation was the first witness to testify today.
His testimony described how he was contacted by dispatch. Detective Dockweiler mentioned several APD officers and their titles and how assignments were determined.
Detective Dokweiler described why and what evidence was collected at the hospital, once law enforcement was told he was deceased.
"Visually could see several gun shot wounds," Detective Dokweiler testifies about inspecting Alan Marcet's body. Majority of clothes had vbeen cut off. Det. Dockweiler said there was "a visible wound in right thigh, one in lower abdomen, two bullet wounds on left side, and one through tricep of left arm."
A search warrant was obtained for the house, attached building and 7 vehicles. Investigation determined the murders occurred inside the house.

No evidence of sexual assault on Christina.
Bodhi Tree is very calm when law enforcement testifies. He is agitated and talks to his attorneys when other testifies.
Sgt. Martinez interviewed individuals at the Eye Street house and came up with a physical description and street moniker of an individual and Officer O'Donovan who canvassed area businesses and a video from gas station identified same individual. Investigation led to an address and name of an individual, who most recently was at 243 Marilyn Street.
Det. Dokweiler was familiar with that address and individuals at that address. About half a dozen officer and the approach was stleath. While they approached front door, a couple officers were at side of house. Shane Goodrich answered at the door. Sean Butler-Smith was lying on the couch.
A gunshot residue was done on Bodhi Tree was apprehended by law enforcement. A canine found him hiding behind bushes. The Sheriff's office, APD and the Fire Department searched for days in sewers, drains, ponds, rooftops, among brushes for the murder weapon.
