There was only one one new piece of information in responding to my PRA which is in an email from Zach O Hanen, Humboldt County Human Resources to Supervisor Bushnell which warns her against retaliation and to only communicate about County business via email with Clerk of the Board Tracy Damico and Board Services Specialist Kaleigh Maffei. Supervisor Bushnell was also asked to step down as chair during the "pendency of the investigation."

I was the first to post about the agenda item regarding Second District Supervisor Michelle Bushnell which led to a censure by the Board this Tuesday which I covered live. I had submitted a PRA to the County. I am also the first and only one to report that First District Supervisor Rex Bohn is also being investigated and I have already submitted a PRA.

In response to my PRA request to the County of Humboldt, Savana Jefferson from Liebert, Cassidy and Whitmore provided the four documents.

"Mr. Chiv:

Attached please find the County of Humboldt’s response to your Public Records Act request and accompanying documents.

Best,

Savana Jefferson"

Three of those documents include two letters from Harland Law Firm's Ms. Allison Jackson and a duplicate of one letter. I already provided this in previous coverage. I have included the one letter in response to my PRA.

I already knew they would use the exemption and attorney client privilege as an excuse to deny any real information. Lets see what they provide to any other local media.

The same will probably be the response to my PRA for the investigation into First District Supervisor Rex Bohn.

The County has your tax payer dollars to waste on lawyers putting up roadblocks. And they are counting on me giving up or wasting my time.

I may add my own observations about Zach from observing him in court with other County Supervisors for a civil restraining order or I may save it to include as I investigate further.

Instead of links, I am adding screenshots of my previous coverage. You can find these previous posts by using keywords in the search box of the blog.
