EPD Sgt. Ross had a few extra passengers in his patrol car last week

 

I held off on doing a post on this until the end of the week at request of Eureka Police Department PIO Laura Montagna. 

Earlier this week, I had to call her for a quick question about news I was covering live about the traffic collision on 4th and S. Ms. Montagna did answer my question but I ended up finding out she was in the back of EPD Sgt. Brian Ross's patrol car. I was curious why. They were looking for someone. I also learned that this past week, besides Ms. Montagna, Sgt. Ross also had two HCSO deputies ride along with him.

Sgt. Ross was one of the many Old Town officers years ago and very popular with residents and businesses. It is great to see many of the former EPD officers I met and observed in the field being promoted to Sgts or Commanders.

On 11/3, I followed up with Ms. Montagna. "The new POP team from the Sheriff's Office was learning and sharing with CSET. I was riding along to take photos. It was just for a week."
