On 12-13-2018, the City of Eureka’s Parks/Waterfront Ranger Dennis Gagnon was released from training status and took his position with our Community Safety Enhancement Team (CSET).

"Cy Vandermeer, former HSU assistant head basketball coach, and St. Bernard's Athletic director was arrested for Burglary, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of stolen property yesterday.
He was fired from his job this summer at St. Bernard's for stealing a women's purse and writing checks to himself, although the woman did not pursue charges, the board let him go.
