Who says Humboldt County Board of Supervisor meetings are dull? Today, during public comment, former Occupy Eureka supporter Janelle Egger tried to serve BOS Chair Supervisor Rex Bohn with a court summons!
No one was sure what her beef was and Janelle was not sure of the serving process nor was the person trying to help her. Eventually, Rex came down from the dais and received the summons so that the meeting could proceed.
Janelle had previously filed a lawsuit against the County regarding the emergency ordinance which was largely a result of Occupy Eureka protestors camping and holding every one else hostage from using the Courthouse.
Even TS reporter Will Houston couldn't figure out what Janelle's beef was but the general consensus is something to do with due process violations.
Rex took the summons, did not read it because it was not properly served. Janelle's concerns are important to him and he wanted her to feel heard.
I was wearing my Rex for Supervisor sweatshirt today. I joked with Rex that had I been in the BOS chambers instead of Courtroom 5 this morning, maybe I could served him the papers correctly!
if she is the complainant, she cannot serve it.
ReplyDeleteI did not serve it. My friend did. John fails to explain why Rex thinks it was not properly served. The County did not explain why they thought the original service was not proper either.

ReplyDeleteJanelle, I do not need to explain something you refuse to understand and accept. I guess you will find out soon enough if your friend properly served the summons.
DeleteWhy was it necessary to serve the summons during that meeting besides to get attention and on the cameras? It isn't as if you don't know where Rex is or his office is located. Like your previously ill-intentioned lawsuit and perceptions, you just keep on with your agenda. Who is behind this latest ploy? And why?
Those are the questions unasked, not investigated by the local media. People are smart Janelle and they deserve public information that is complete.
All good questions. I'd like to hear the answers.
ReplyDeleteThen ask John to allow them.
DeleteJanelle, I have published all the comments I have received. Saying let John allow them is another twisting of the facts. You chose to go to the Tuluwat Examiner and had a lengthy response. Then you had more than your ample share of responses in the comment section.
ReplyDeleteAnd you keep monitoring any comment and responding. You did not in your response answer all the questions, you picked selective quotes and allowed an anonymous blog which clearly has an agenda and is very obviously comprised of the same Heraldo crowd, the Fair Wage crowd and Occupy Eureka, use me in a sensational hit piece.
I looked at the post and comments after it was pointed out to me.
You have had more than your share to answer and clear the record. Some of us can move on, when a point is made, others cannot.
