Trinidad Rancheria CEO Jacqueline Hostler-Carmesin testified in City of Trinidad vs Tsurai Ancestral Society

With all the local media in town who have multiple staffers, get a steady paycheck and cover a random court case; why have they not covered the City of Trinidad vs Tsurai Ancestral Society. Look at the other parties involved.

Maybe it is for the best they haven't. Some have made errors covering criminal court cases. Civil cases are more complex.

I know that none of these parties have ever reached out to me. The other media run press releases sent to them by some of these parties. Have some of these parties invested or advertised with other local media? Savvy locals and online sleuths who pay attention know the answer.

I am covering 20 to 30 criminal cases daily and 5 to 10 civil cases daily and I provide live details, court records and court minutes. I also do regular regional and national coverage which unlike other local media isn't a cookie cutter column you can read anywhere.

The original complaint and many documents aren't even in e court which is used by Humboldt Superior Court.

This is a lengthy civil trial which has kept Humboldt Superior Court Assistant Presiding Judge Timothy Canning very busy. He does not even get a break. The trial lawyers and parties do but Judge Canning has to go back to his regular cases.

The trial has been going on for a couple of weeks. If it wasn't such a busy time with Humboldt court cases I am already following; I would have covered the trial.

Civil minutes sometimes can take a few days. In this case, yesterday's minutes are in draft form. I will replace them with the final version. I have also included a March 9 court document.

You can google the lawsuit or go down to the Courthouse and look at the documents or call any other media you financially support to get you more information. I will do it for my subscribers and advertisers.
