Pre trial diversion granted in Von Hawley Butterfield cocaine, DUI and speeding case

I have been the only one to report on Eureka Police Department arrest and the DA charging Von Hawley Butterfield with Count 1 driving when license is suspended or revoked due to DUI.  Count 2 possessing cocaine. Count 3 exhibition of speed.

The case did not even go to trial. Mr. Patrik Griego who Butterfield hired filed a motion for pre trial diversion. It was granted today by Humboldt Superior Court Judge Lawrence Killoran.

Pre trial diversion granted for 1 year and Butterfield  has to complete a DMV approved defensive driving course.

A source in the business community told me Butterfield plans on leaving the area and relocating.
