After several continuances, mostly from defense and just one from the District Attorney's office, John Provolt's alleged molestation preliminary hearing finally proceeded today and is still going on.
There are two people with Provolt; three people with the Victim Witness Advocate Caitlyn LaHaie.
HCSO Deputy Gabriel Delgado was the first People's witness. Humboldt Superior Court Judge Steven Steward is listening right now to Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer question HCSO Det. Brian Buihner.
Provolt is represented by Mr. Christian R. Jensen. Defense did not present any witnesses or evidence.
Provolt was held to answer as charged. Arraignment on information is on 1/6/26.
