"After careful consideration, and in recognition of the County of Humboldt’s ongoing commitment to fiscal responsibility and public trust, we want to make it clear: the Board of Supervisors does not intend to pursue or approve any base salary increases for its members in 2025."

Let's see how many people use the opportunity to speak on this item during public comment or email or call their respective Supervisors. The peanut gallery of the same anon and few non  anon voices can shriek all they want to their little clique in the anonymous online forums. If you are not engaged in using the opportunity provided in this country to give feedback to your elected officials and do not have the guts to use your name; to quote Travis Tritt, "here's a quarter, call someone who cares." 

Public comment does not have to be in person; it can be via Zoom. Calling or emailing an elected official is more private. Some of you kvetch all the time. It takes the same effort to give direct feedback and input about alternatives or solutions.
