What looks like an innocuous agenda item could be a bigger plan of CalPoly Humboldt like tactics that could affect the community

I can't remember if it was last year or in 2022 but at the courthouse, outside Courtroom 1 I had a brief conversation with a source in the know about Cal Poly Humboldt and law enforcement who mentioned CPH would be getting more involved with other local agencies.

If the silencing of dissent, arrest of a news reporter and Cal Poly Humboldt's expanding influence concern you, then you should pay attention to this innocuous agenda item on the June 4 Humboldt County Board of Supervisor's agenda.

I doubt the rest of the local media who regurgitate agenda items or blandly cover the government meetings highlighting the most boring items will ask pertinent questions about what other law enforcement agencies in California. As members and voters in this community, you have more power than a handful of media. Ask your Supervisor and state representatives for more information. It isn't the media's job to do everything, get involved in decisions that affect your life, liberty and community.
