There was a resentencing hearing scheduled in two of convicted murderer Ryan Tanner's cases this morning. There is also a defense motion to dismiss enhancements. The People filed an opposition.
It was a special set before Humboldt Superior Court Presiding Judge Kelly Neel. Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm appeared on the case for the People.
Tanner's current attorney is Gregory Kreis. Gregory Kreis took over for Tanner's previous attorney, Russ Clanton. Read court minutes where it states Kreis filed a motion to dismiss enhancements which is not a motion defendant can file.
Matter under submission. There will be a written ruling.
