The Humboldt County Courthouse is cleaner today than most weekdays despite thousands

Kudos to yesterday's protest organizers. The Humboldt County Courthouse looks cleaner than most weekdays despite thousands showing up yesterday. Sadly, the scribbles on the sidewalk are a reminder of the failed criminal justice system and failed leadership in CA and nationwide. 

I took these photos at 10:45 a.m. today. 

I don't know if arson suspect Stephen Paiment wrote these chalk mesages but they are similar what he wrote before. If he did write these messages, I don't know when. I saw him walking down 5th street around 12:25 p.m. today. Part of his probation terms are not participating in a protest. I doubt he was there yesterday and if he was; Eureka Police Department was all over the area and would have handled the situation. The Humboldt County Public Defender got him out of custody, Humboldt Judges released him and have not remanded him. The Humboldt County Probation Department cannot babysit the multitude of suspects and repeat offenders and Paiment usually does his scribblings on the weekend. Whatever help he needs; he isn't getting it out of custody despite all the money thrown at diversion and mental health programs. California Governor Gavin Newsom created this mess by closing down prisons, overcrowding the jails and many other failed California and Democrat policies.

By Monday, the sidewalk was covered with more messages. I did not photograph the ones against the police. I photographed the new ones where he claims to help "girls get off the street" and another one asking people to help him because he is homeless.

In the screenshot of President Trump which is from this morning, read the quote starting, "They made one mistake."

Democrats are making mistake, after mistake and hurting the very people who they have let down repeatedly. 

If loss of women's rights, LGBTQ rights or any other freedom concerns you; point the finger at the Democrats first. As an independent, I am not partisan. Ineffective, greedy Biden and his selfish family and the clueless Democrats are the reason Roe v Wade and other rights many marched for got overturned because the Republicans delivered for their base while many Dem voters sat out because of Palestine propaganda and Democrat elected officials catered to the nonsense issues of Hollywood and other Dem elites. Their anti law enforcement stance is not what law abiding citizens want. These are not GOP talking points, this is reality without a partisan filter. The party that said Biden was okay has no credibility. GOP has their special interests; so do Democrats. Unions and government do not benefit from self sufficiency.

The people who need the help most will suffer more because of this unnecessary shutdown and the party to blame is the tone deaf Democrats who have learned nothing from losing the 2024 election. The shutdown has also distracted from the release of the Epstein files which has some bipartisan support.
