Convicted rapist Nicholas Rossi who faked his own death, fled to Scotland, convicted in two Utah rapes, scheduled to be sentenced in one case this afternoon

Convicted rapist Nicholas Rossi's sentencing for his second rape case is scheduled on 10/20/25 at 2 p.m. Utah time in front of Utah Third Judicial District Judge Barry Lawrence. This is the second guilty verdict for him in Utah for the crime of rape. There is another sentencing in the second rape case on November 20.

This hearing is in person; no virtual coverage allowed.  Utah Fox 13 is the designated media outlet for pool coverage.

Rossi aka Nicholas Alahverdian and Arthur Knight. The defense stipulated "to identities" at the preliminary hearing.

As expected the sentence is five years to life in prison.

During his sentencing hearing, Rossi wore light blue jail clothing, listened to multiple women give victim impact statements.

"When given the chance to speak, Rossi claimed to be innocent and said that the women who accused of him of rape were 'lying'." Fox 13.

“While justice may have been slow, the defendant was convicted and now sentenced to prison, consistent with the harm he caused to our survivor. She can rest assured he did not escape punishment,” said Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill. “We thank our prosecutors, Brandon Simmons and Clint Heiner, as well as our victim advocate Cami Heng, for their years of dedication to this case and helping deliver justice for the survivor in this case. We appreciate the work of both our local, national, and international partners that worked together to ensure the defendant could be held accountable for his actions.”  Fox 13

11/4/25: In both cases, Rossi sentenced to 5 years to life. Total 10 years to life, to be served concurrently.
