Joseph Nmn Nix was arrested by HCSO yesterday on a Ramey Warrant for PC 236 false imprisonment, PC 245(a)(1) assault with a deadly weapon or with force likely to produce great bodily injury and PC 273.5(a) domestic violence.
He has 15 cases listed in Humboldt Superior Court with a previous 2026 case still open for resisting a peace officer and was released on OR by Humboldt Superior Court Judge Lawrence Killoran at arraignment requested by the Public Defender's Office who is representing him. Nix committed these alleged crimes while he was out of custody.
In CR2602423, there was a pre trial today which was continued to 9/11 because no arraignment date has been set in the felony case.
9/11/26: Joseph Nix was arraigned this afternoon on his recent arrest. These are the charges for one case, he has another case filed today for use of tear gas, a third case filed today for resisting a public officer and a fourth case for evading an officer and possession of a smoking device. OR bail on 9/15; preliminary hearing on 9/22. With his previous 2026 case, this makes it 5 cases this year.
9/15/26: Joseph Nix had five cases on calendar today. He was not released from custody today by Retired Humboldt Superior Court Judge Joyce Hinrichs. In two of his cases, his custody status is no bail.
